DON'T practice the 5 positions of the PENTATONIC SCALE
The pay off is in practicing something till if feels natural, and then making it musical. It doesn't matter what level you at. Good video Sir
Great videos thanks! I have a question: I tend to rest my right hand fingers on the guitar body when I am picking which, I feel gives me 'stability.' It feels unnatural to draw my three other fingers in as you do. When I do it like you do I seem to loose my picking accuracy. Is my technique wrong and does it slow down my ability to pick faster if my fingers are touching the body?
Great video. BUT I want to see the Moonwalk when you sing like that! :)
My sister will love this for her piano concern which is playing runs faster (Bach).
Claus YOU'RE THE GREATEST!
1 million reps, starting today.... One, Two, Threeeeee, Fourrrrrrr, Fivvvve. =) I'll start tomorrow. Great lesson. Truly, all joking aside. I know it takes time. I think my thing is I want to play a song or a playing around musically. I getting the scale just fine, the chords are a challenge for me. I'm not going to give up, just working until it clicks for me. Thanks
Ahahahah I love the "feel players" impression so much
Never, ever, a wasted sentence.
I'm first, now if I can just be that fast when playing
You should really check your (probably) AI generated subtitles. Makes you look real unprofessional, really quick. Even though you’re not.
Hei, gitaren din er litt ustemt..
Regarding the Katana, I have to say, its spring reverb model sounds better than the one in my Eventide H9 (only that, but still😂). And the whammy is the best I've ever tried too. Great amp, quality effects, super cheap
And if now, Claus, you make a couple of videos on fusion style?
I don’t understand which guitar pick you mean is more suitable for practice?
Very good lesson!
Hi Claus! Very good tips as always! Could you explain the rake mouvement? How light i need to pick the raked strings? Thanks
beautiful guitar!!!
errrrmmmm.....so what am is supposed to do??? haha
What?
Dude, your captions are wrong, the last sentence: "SO I *WRONGLY* (instead of warmly) RECOMMEND THIS HAND...". And on another video there is BARCODE instead of barre chord...
I'm fortunate enough to have always had a "built-in metronome." Funnily enough, before you started singing, I started singing it too, haha
Great content!
How do I get better with neck chord changes. I find Barre chords easier to play.
Up
Thanks for this video. I seem to like most of your videos. You always have good information. And I can totally relate to most of what you say. Keep on Rocking 😎🎸👍
This is excellent advice. Knockin on heavens door is the perfect song to show it. I also play with heavy picks I suggest leaning finger strumming too.
It SURE does make sense!
Thanks! I can’t keep up with all your great ideas. But keep them coming… Outstanding stuff.
Nice chords , what scales should i used for this chords or to be sound like jazz
Very good advice. I learned the natural minor before I learned pentatonic scale. Then I learned all the other scales, even the crazy ones. I realised that they were all so similar. That’s when I was turned on to the modes, and that opened everything up.
man I love the way you think and you explain. it's so me :P
I found that a good method is to just learn the diatonic scale as a whole, all seven boxes and then apply them in relation to the pentatonic boxes. For me that was the opening of the matrix. After a couple of months I was soloing all over the fretboard without even thinking.
Second watch of this video. Tomorrow is July 1st. Making a project for the next month. Great timing.
Patience and belief.
Perfect.
You are your guitar tone...
Pass this around. Claus is a good guy.
Clause I know this is an old video…I can play sweep picking and alternate picking etudes, but can’t implement them into something that sounds cool to impress anyone. Do you have any videos that can teach me to not play like a robot?
These are words from a Master. Thank you.
Also changing speakers has a lot of impact on the sound.
Arnie is teaching me guitar?
I would love him as a teacher. He would not allow any foolishness. Very common sense approach. I just love his tone.
Hi Claus, you might want to watch the series @SpectreSoundStudios has done on what makes the biggest impact on high gain recordings. Spoiler, it's quite obvious actually, but it's the amp speaker. Pickups on high gain made almost no difference, neither did wood, string's, even amp or even tubes. All his tests were blind tests. Highly recommend you give it a watch
what should i stick to if i want to master the major scale sound?
It’s true that the pickups all sound different, and like you said, if you have a great amp, you can make all your guitars with all the pickups sound great through that amp, and that’s where the Paul Gilbert fingers and picking comes in.
I like the cake metaphor. I've thought about this in the past, and my thoughts are pretty much the same. But sometimes we need to take a day or two off and let the material "bake." Food for thought, haha
Very interesting! I'd wish there was a cheaper & faster way to switch pickups...
Hi Claus, i'm really interested to know your thoughts on scallop fretboard. I have hand issues and I'm wondering about using scallop neck to take some pressure off my hands. Also, do you find that the scallop neck affects the tone of the guitar? Thanks very much
I started playing guitar in 2017 and i was doing good got 50% legato alternate picking sweep picking ...after platfor 3 years i got ill then stopped playing about 1.5 Years ...after that i played practice guitar for so long still can't play properly in 60 bpm now ..what should i do .. please kevin answer my question..i am really disappointed
